Мэры городов следуют к подиуму тем же проходом, что и Президент МОК. Мэр города-организатора возвращает Олимпийский флаг Президенту МОК, который в свою очередь торжественно вручает его мэру города-организатора следующих Игр. До церемонии закрытия в городе-организаторе следующих Игр флаг должен находиться в главном муниципальном здании города.

flag handover ceremony
Traditional ritual of of the closing ceremony. The mayors of the host city and next host city join the IOC President on the rostrum for the flag handover ceremony. From the field access to the rostrum, the mayors will take the same path as the IOC President. The mayor of the host city returns the Olympic flag to the IOC President who then passes and entrusts it to the mayor of the host city of the following Olympic Games. This flag must be displayed in the latter city’s main municipal building until the closing ceremony of the next host city’s Olympic Games.

вручение медалей и букетов
Традиционный ритуал церемонии награждения. Президент МОК, либо назначенный им член МОК, надевает медаль на шею победителю. Затем Президент МСФ или его/ее заместитель вручает победителю букет цветов. На букетах не должно быть никаких коммерческих эмблем или товарных знаков, ввиду применимости правила «чистого» объекта. Согласно требованиям МОК, указанным в Руководстве по обозначению производителя, награждаемые Олимпийцы должны, по возможности, быть в форме, предназначенной для церемонии награждения, либо - при отсутствии времени переодеться в парадную форму для церемоний награждения - в спортивной форме Национального Олимпийского комитета. На площадке для проведения церемонии не должно быть дополнительных национальных флагов, баннеров и прочих изделий.

Traditional ritual of the victory ceremony. The IOC President or a selected IOC member shall hang the medal around the winner’s neck. Then, the IF President or his/her deputy presents the winner with a bouquet of flowers. No commercial insignias may be placed on the bouquets, as clean venue rules apply. The medal-winning Olympians are required to wear the victory ceremony uniform where possible or their National Olympic Committee’s competition uniform if there is no time to change into the victory ceremony uniform, as defined by the IOC in the Manufacturer Identification Guidelines. No additional national flags, banners, or other merchandise should be allowed on the ceremony platform.

Традиционный ритуал церемоний открытия и закрытия. Во время проведения церемонии открытия парад участников начинается, как только глава страны-организатора после официальной встречи с президентом МОК и президентом ОКОИ займет свое место в ложе Олимпийского стадиона. Впереди каждой делегации, одетой в парадную униформу, участники шествия несут щит с названием страны и национальный флаг. Парад участников проходит в порядке алфавита страны-организатора; исключения составляют делегация Греции, открывающая шествие, и делегация страны-организатора, замыкающая его. В параде имеют право принимать участие только спортсмены-участники Игр с правом проживания в Олимпийской деревне и не более шести официальных лиц на одну делегацию. На церемонии закрытия спортсмены выходят на стадион все вместе, без образования каких-либо групп. На Олимпийских зимних играх шествие спортсменов проходит в начале церемонии, после чего спортсмены занимают места, зарезервированные для них на трибунах.

Traditional ritual of the opening and closing ceremonies. During the opening ceremony, the participants parade begins after the Head of State of the host country has been received by the IOC President and the OCOG President, and is seated in his/her box in the official stand. Each delegation, dressed in its official uniform, is preceded by a name-board bearing its name and is accompanied by its flag, to be carried by a member of the delegation. The delegations march in alphabetical order according to the language of the host country, save for Greece, which leads the parade, and for the host country, which brings up the rear. Only those athletes participating in the Olympic Games with the right to accommodation in the Olympic Village may take part in the parade, led by a maximum of six officials per delegation.the closing ceremony, the athletes enter the stadium en masse without any groupings whatsoever. For Winter Games, the athletes’ march is near the beginning of the ceremony, and the athletes take seats reserved for them in the audience.

Традиционный ритуал церемонии открытия. Олимпийский факел, привезенный из Олимпии (Греция), выносится на стадион бегунами, передающими его друг другу. При входе на стадион факел проносят мимо трибуны почетных гостей и далее на глазах всех зрителей - по всему периметру стадиона. По традиции, последним бегуном должен быть спортсмен-олимпиец. Момент зажжения огня в чаше и положение чаши Олимпийского огня должны быть выбраны таким образом, чтобы это могли наблюдать все зрители на Олимпийском стадионе. Огонь не должен гаснуть вплоть до закрытия Олимпийских игр.

Traditional ritual of the opening ceremony. Olympic torch, carried from Olympia, Greece, is brought into the stadium by runners relaying it to each other. The flame should pass the Tribune of Honor upon entry and then relay around the perimeter of the field 360 degrees in view of the audience. The last runner is customarily an Olympic athlete. The moment of the lighting of the cauldron and the lit cauldron should be positioned so that all audience members in the Olympic stadium can view it. The flame shall not be extinguished until the closing of the Olympic Games.

To the sounds of the Greek national anthem, the Greek flag is hoisted on the pole that stands to the left of the Olympic flag’s central pole. The flag of the host country of the next Olympic Games is hoisted on the Olympic flag’s right-hand pole to the strains of its anthem.

Traditional opening ceremony ritual. After the Olympic flag has been raised, a competitor of the host country mounts the rostrum. Holding a corner of the Olympic flag in his/her left hand, and raising the right hand, the athlete recites the following solemn oath: “In the name of all the competitors I promise that we shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing ourselves to a sport without doping and without drugs, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honor of our teams.”
